They will need to sync it to their Google Drive as well, and they edit it on their local computer, in the Google Drive folder. You can save a folder w/an InDesign file into your local Google Drive folder, then right-click and Share it with other Google Drive users. Attach files relevant to the tasks youre. (This may be an optional setting, don’t remember. Quickly add your chosen file from Dropbox by clicking the paperclip icon and selecting Dropbox from the list. The files on your Google Drive are synced to your hard drive. I can see how to upload Indesign docs to the cloud. Again, works great, but Dropbox is also a very good choice. Everyone, by default has read/write access. (IOW, same level as Documents or Desktop, on a Mac.) You share the Onedrive folder and the recipients then add that folder to their Onedrive. It’s at the top level of your user account’s collection of folders. Once installed, it creates a folder on your hard drive called Google Drive. Figma is the leading collaborative design tool for building meaningful products. Thankfully–we have a server, and if that ever craps the bed, we have twice-daily back-ups to external drives, as well as archives going back several years. If Google has an outage for a day or two (or even hours), we’d be screwed. I wouldn’t trust anything in the cloud with our livelihood. Note: Personally, if my company ever thought of using Google Drive instead of our server, I’d be the first to object. In that folder is my pages folder, fonts folder, art folder, etc. For example, in my work flow, I have a main folder for each specific job. I know your questions about the art were directed to Artwork Abode, but I would think the best way to do your art is an art folder for each job. I think it’s best to work on your local machine and then back it up to the server/remote site when you are done. In any event, I’ve always found it dangerous to work on a live document on the server or remotely. Indesign use to be smart enough to know that links are from dropbox and looks for the my dropbox folder and not the link path that goes all the way to the drive name. I’m thinking you’d have to download to your computer, work on it, then place back on Google Drive when done. The last I knew, you can’t edit or work non–Google Drive documents via browser.
